The KAFD Monorail is a fully automated urban rail system developed as part of the King Abdullah Financial District in Riyadh. The system serves as an internal mobility backbone for the district, connecting office towers, public spaces, and transport hubs within a highly digitalized smart-city environment. The monorail network spans several kilometers of elevated guideway and operates as a driverless system with centralized control, advanced signaling, and integrated operational technologies.
The project is delivered by an international consortium comprising system integrators, infrastructure and rolling stock suppliers, and specialist engineering partners. Development, integration, and commissioning activities have been conducted over multiple project phases from the early design stage through implementation and preparation for operation.
Within this context, Blue Secure Services provides Cybersecurity Management services in accordance with TS 50701. Our role covers the establishment and maintenance of a structured cybersecurity governance framework across the system lifecycle. This includes the definition and alignment of cybersecurity requirements, coordination of cybersecurity-related interfaces between consortium partners, and continuous risk management across OT systems, subsystems, and suppliers.
We support the integration of cybersecurity into system engineering, procurement, and operational processes, ensuring consistency with international railway cybersecurity practices and project-specific requirements. By acting as a central cybersecurity management function, we help enable secure, resilient, and compliant operation of a critical urban transport system within a high-profile smart-city environment.
